AICTE Pragati Scholarship Application: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the Pragati Scholarship Scheme to encourage girls from weaker sections in technical education. Its purpose is that female students can easily get higher education, and their financial burden is reduced.

The application process will run till 31 October 2025. The last date for verification of erroneous applications in the application process is 15 November 2025. Verification by the institute will also have to be completed by 15 November 2025, while the date for final verification by DNO/SNO/MNO has been fixed as 30 November 2025.

Who can apply?

The applicant should be a female student.

Must have taken admission in recognized AICTE/UGC/State-approved Technical Institutes in India.

A maximum of two girls per family will be eligible.

The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 8 lakh.

A valid income certificate must be issued by the state or central government.

How much scholarship will be available?

Rs 50,000 will be given for each year of study as a scholarship. Students who take admission in the first year will get this amount for a maximum of 4 years, and those who take admission in the second year through lateral entry will get this amount for a maximum of 3 years.

This money will be given in a lump sum for college fees, purchase of computers, stationery, books, equipment, software, etc. No additional amount will be given for hostel fees or medical fees. There is no need to submit any documents for these expenses to get the scholarship.

Method of breaking the tie
If two or more candidates have the same percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, then the one who scores more marks in the 10th exam first will be given a higher rank. If this also does not break the tie, then the older candidate will be given a higher rank.
