A PAN Card is an important document for any Indian citizen. A PAN card is required for various government works. It is issued by the Income Tax Department of the Government of India. It has a 10-digit number on it, which is made up of letters and numbers. It is needed for various financial works like filing income tax returns, opening a bank account, making transactions for large amounts, and buying/selling property. In such a situation, if the information given on the PAN card is wrong, then it can cause big trouble for you. If any detail given in your PAN card is wrong, then you can get it corrected. For this, you do not have to go anywhere. You can get a correction in the PAN card from home through your mobile phone. There is a government app for this. Get a correction in the PAN card through the Umang App.

UMANG App is an initiative of the Government of India, whose full name is Unified Mobile Application for New-Age Governance. Through this app, you can get various government services of the Center, State, and Local Bodies in one place. Many services related to PAN are also available on this app. With this, you can also apply for a new PAN. Also, you can get the PAN card corrected.

You have to log in to the app.

First of all, open the UMANG app on your device. If the app is not on the phone, then you can download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. After this, log in with your number.

Follow these steps

Step 1- After opening the app, you have to click on the service tab below.

Step 2- Now, you click on the option of All Services at the top of the screen.

Step 3- As soon as you do this, a list of all services will appear in front of you.

Step 4- You have to click on the option of My PAN.

Step 5- Now, a new page will open, in which all the services related to PAN will be available.
Step 6- You have to scroll down. Here you will find the Apple for Correction/change in PAN Card (CSF) section.

Step 7- There will be two options in it: Apple for Correction/change in PAN Card (CSF)-eSing and Apple for Correction/change in PAN Card (CSF)- Physical. Click on the one you want to correct or change.

Step 8- Then you have to click on the Proceed option.

Step 9- Now you have to fill in many details. First, you have to enter your PAN card number. After this, you have to fill in personal details like PA, etc. Fill the form by entering all the details being asked.

Step 10- You will also have to upload some important documents.

Step 11- Let us tell you that you will have to pay a fee for correction. After filling the form, verification, and paying the fee, a new PAN card with updated details will reach your address. In this way, you can easily get your PAN card corrected.
