Air Canada has introduced its Premium Economy Class service on flights between India and Canada, offering an upgraded travel option for passengers seeking more space and comfort at a moderate price. The service is available on select Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A330 aircraft, according to the official statement by Air Canada.
The Premium Economy cabin features wider seats with increased recline and extra legroom. Passengers also receive two additional checked baggage allowances, priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling, as well as enhanced in-flight services. Passengers in Premium Economy can access Air Canada’s in-flight entertainment system, which includes a range of Bollywood films. Cabin crew fluent in local languages assist throughout the flight. USB charging ports and in-seat power are provided at each seat. Meals are also upgraded, with a menu that includes fresh salads, hot entrées, desserts, and light meals or snacks before landing, depending on the route.
Arun Pandeya, Air Canada’s General Manager for India, said, “Air Canada’s Premium Economy experience has been designed to offer passengers a comfortable and upgraded journey to their destination. It is ideal for those wanting more space, comfort, and attention without going all the way to Business Class.”
Air Canada operates direct flights from India to Toronto and Montréal, and in the official statement the airline says its Premium Economy offering is designed to combine convenience, comfort, and affordability for international travellers.
