Veteran actor Shivaji Satam, known for his iconic portrayal of ACP Pradyuman in the long-running television series CID, was recently shown meeting a tragic end in a dramatic bomb explosion. His apparent exit from the show coincided with the entry of actor Parth Samthaan, who was introduced as a new lead. However, the change did not sit well with fans. Social media platforms were soon flooded with posts urging the return of the beloved ACP Pradyuman, leading to widespread criticism of the creative decision.

Responding to the overwhelming fan reaction, the makers of the show decided to bring Satam back into the fold. The senior actor has resumed shooting for the series, and Parth Samthaan gave audiences a sneak peek into this comeback. Posting on his Instagram Stories, Samthaan uploaded a behind-the-scenes video featuring Satam on set. In the caption, he wrote, “Filming with ACP Pradyuman, aka Shivaji Satam, was nothing short of thrilling. A true gem of a person.”

Adding to the excitement, Satam dropped a cryptic hint on his own social media page, posting the signature line from the show, “Kuch toh gadbad hai?”—a phrase that has become synonymous with his character and continues to stir nostalgia among viewers.

Just days prior, Samthaan had introduced his own character in CID by unveiling a first look video. In a heartfelt caption, he wrote, “Here comes ACP Ayushman in one of the most iconic, cherished, and enduring shows on Indian television—CID! This series has been a memorable part of our childhood. The legendary dialogues and iconic officers—ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Abhijeet—have truly left a mark. It’s a dream come true to join this legacy. After a five-year gap from television, I never imagined I’d be part of CID, but life is full of surprises. Just like my roles in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan or Kasautii Zindagii Kay, this too was unexpected. Excited to start this new chapter and solve some thrilling cases!”

Fans have been buzzing about Samthaan’s debut in the series, but the news of Shivaji Satam’s return has sent excitement soaring even higher. Viewers are eagerly anticipating the new twists and turns in the upcoming episodes.

As for ACP Pradyuman’s ‘death’, the plot involved a tense operation to capture the villain Barboza, played by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The antagonist led the ACP into a deadly trap, resulting in a powerful explosion. However, the absence of concrete visuals showing his demise left room for doubt.
