Ingredients
Citrus custard apple – 1-2
Milk – 1.5 liters
Almond slivers – 2 tablespoons
Pistachio slivers – 2 tablespoons
Cardamom powder – 1 teaspoon
Sugar – 5 tablespoons (to taste)
Recipe
First, remove and discard the seeds from the custard apple. Then, pour the milk into a deep saucepan and heat it over medium heat.
Let the milk heat and boil for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally during this time. Cook until the milk is reduced to one-quarter of its volume.
When the milk is reduced to one-quarter, add cardamom powder and sugar to taste and mix well with a ladle.
Let the milk cook for another 10-12 minutes on medium heat. Then, turn off the heat, pour the milk into a deep bowl, and let it cool at room temperature for one hour.
   
- When the milk is slightly warm at room temperature, place it in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
- After the specified time, remove the thickened milk from the refrigerator and add the custard apple pulp, almond slivers, and pistachio slivers to it, mixing well.
- After this, let the basundi cool in the refrigerator for another half hour. After the specified time, pour it into a serving bowl and serve the custard apple basundi.
