Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): An 18-year-old girl from Bhopal was allegedly raped by her mother’s boyfriend, police said on Tuesday.
The accused, who works as a security guard, is currently on the run after finding out that the police were informed.
The incident is of the Chhola Mandir area in Bhopal, where the girl has accused her mother’s boyfriend of raping her.
According to Chhola Mandir police station in-charge Suresh Chandra Nagar, the girl had left her studies and was helping with household work.
Her mother was in a relationship with a man named Shivam Singh, who lives in Shivshakti Nagar. Because of this relationship, Shivam used to visit their home frequently.
The girl told police that on the night of April 13, she was alone at home when Shivam came over. He threatened her and then forced himself on her.
Before leaving, he warned her not to tell anyone or he would kill her. The girl remained silent out of fear.
Later, Shivam started pressuring her again for a physical relationship. Disturbed and scared, the girl finally decided to go to the police and file a complaint. The accused was working as a security guard in the Minal Residency area for a private agency.
A case of rape has been registered, and the police are now searching for the accused.
