Mumbai, Sep 17 (IANS) Superstar Rajinikanth extended heartfelt birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 75 on Wednesday, and wished him a long life and the strength to continue leading the nation.
Rajinikanth took to X, formerly called Twitter, where he penned the note for the “most respected, honourable, and dear Prime Minister”.
He wrote: “To the most respected, honourable, and my dear Prime Minister @narendramodi Narendra Modi ji , heartfelt wishes on your birthday. Wishing you long life, good health, peace of mind, and everlasting strength to lead our beloved nation. Jai Hind.”
Talking about the superstar, he was recently seen in Coolie, a Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Rachita Ram, with Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde in special appearances.
The film revolves around a former coolie union leader investigates the death of his friend which leads him to a crime syndicate.
He will next be seen in the action comedy Jailer 2 directed by Nelson. It is a sequel to the 2023 film Jailer, the film stars Rajinikanth reprising his role as the titular character, alongside Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Mirnaa reprising their roles, with S. J. Suryah, joining the cast. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Nandamuri Balakrishna make cameo appearances, with the former reprising their roles.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will be visiting Bhainsola village in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, where he will lay the foundation stone for India’s first PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park, a major step toward boosting the textile industry in the state.
This initiative is part of seven such textile hubs planned across the country under the PM MITRA scheme.
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will also launch two major national initiatives, ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ (Healthy Women, Empowered Families) and the eighth Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month), to strengthen the country’s health and nutrition services, particularly for women, children, and adolescents.
