Online travel aggregator EaseMyTrip posted a consolidated net profit of INR 13.9 Cr in Q4 FY25 as against a loss of INR 15.1 Cr in the year-ago quarter. had pushed the company in the red in Q4 FY24.
The company’s profit plunged over 59% during the quarter under review from INR 34 Cr in Q3 FY25.
EaseMyTrip’s operating revenue declined 15% to INR 139.5 Cr in Q4 FY25 from INR 164 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Sequentially, it declined 7.4% from INR 150.6 Cr.
For the full fiscal year FY25, the company’s profit rose 5% to INR 108.7 Cr from INR 103.5 Cr in FY24. However, operating revenue declined marginally to INR 587.3 Cr from INR 590.6 Cr in FY24.
EaseMyTrip’s EBITDA slumped 70% to INR 17.3 Cr in Q4 FY25 from INR 57.7 Cr in the year-ago period. EBITDA margin also dwindled to 12.1% during the quarter under review from 33.4% in Q4 FY24.
As usual, the air ticketing business continued to be the biggest driver of revenue for the company. However, revenue from this segment declined 28.71% to INR 93.9 Cr during the quarter under review from INR 131.7 Cr in Q4 FY24.
Revenue from hotels and packages segment surged 22.6% to INR 23.3 Cr in the January-March quarter of 2025 from INR 19 Cr in the corresponding period last year.
EaseMyTrip earned INR 22.3 Cr from other services in Q4 FY25, up 66.94% from INR 13.4 Cr in Q4 FY24.
Founded in 2008 by the brother trio of Nishant, Rikant and Prashant Pitti, EaseMyTrip began its journey as an online travel agency but has since diversified its business to foray into insurtech and electric bus manufacturing.
Breaking Down Operational MetricsThe company’s gross booking revenue (GBR) rose 4.9% to INR 2,192.6 Cr in Q4 from INR 2,090 Cr in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. While hotel night bookings on the platform zoomed 101.3% year-on-year (YoY) to 2.8 Lakh during the quarter under review, bookings in the train, buses and others segment grew 32% YoY to 3.6 Lakh.
“With growing momentum in hotels, rising contribution from non-air segments, and deeper global and offline expansion, we are well-positioned to capture emerging travel demand, enhance customer engagement, and deliver long-term value for all stakeholders,” said EaseMyTrip cofounder and chairman Nishant Pitti.
The company also said that its Dubai operations saw significant growth, with GBR rising 266% YoY to INR 231.7 Cr in Q4 FY25 and 242% YoY to INR 701.4 Cr in FY25.
Zooming Into ExpensesDespite the decline in its revenue, the company’s total expenses rose 11.5% to INR 130.9 Cr during the quarter under review from INR 117.5 Cr in Q4 FY24.
Employee Costs: The spending under this head rose 15.44% YoY to INR 27.45 Cr during the quarter ended March 2025.
Advertising & Sales Promotion Expenses: EaseMyTrip spent INR 36 Cr under this head in Q4 FY25, up 40.14% from INR 25.64 Cr in Q4 FY24.
Payment Gateway Charges: The travel tech company spent INR 15.17 Cr on payment gateway charges during the quarter, up 2.5% YoY.
The company’s board has approved a proposal to make “further investment” in its insurtech vertical Easemytrip Insurance Broker Private Limited to acquire a 40% stake. Once the deal materialises, the listed OTA’s parent, Easy Trip Planners Ltd, will hold a 100% stake in insurtech subsidiary.
In its filings, the company also informed the exchanges that the ED conducted search operations at one of the premises linked to the company and the residence of cofounder Nishant Pitti on April 16. The OTA said that the “panchnama” (recording of evidence/ observation) filed by the ED post the searches showed that “no incriminating documents or digital records were found and no items were seized” other than a cash of INR 7 Lakh from the residence of its chairman.
Shares of EaseMyTrip ended yesterday’s trading session at INR 11.22 on the BSE.
