There’s trouble brewing on the cobbles next week as lifts the lid on a shocking connection between Mick Michaelis and none other than detective . The drama begins when Mick lashes out at Theo Silverton in a nasty street altercation, pushing him hard against a van.
Thankfully, Billy Mayhew, Ronnie Bailey and Ed Bailey step in before things can escalate further. But it's not long before DS Lisa Swain brings Mick in for questioning – and assigns Kit to handle the case. While Kit is usually calm and collected, even under pressure, he seems out of sorts when Swain mentions Mick’s name.
Once in the interview room, Kit makes a poor attempt to maintain a professional front, but Mick quickly clocks his discomfort and seems to enjoy every second of it.

Kit completely disregards police protocol and ends up letting Mick walk free instead of grilling him over the unprovoked attack. Could this be the moment everything starts to unravel for Kit as his past catches up to him?
Fan theories are currently pointing towards that involves Kit, Mick and his partner Lou. Soap boss Kate Brooks teased back in December that Mick and Lou's arrival would "open up the floodgates" for a "big character" – later confirmed to be Kit.

Fans now believe the key to their shared past lies with a newcomer to the show: Brody, the troubled inmate who was recently introduced as Dylan Wilson’s new STC mate.
In recent scenes, Brody told Dylan his parents had moved to Weatherfield, and fans quickly connected the dots. Mick and Lou had just arrived on the cobbles and already started stirring up drama, leading viewers to speculate that they are Brody's mystery parents.
While Mick and Lou have made vague references to having children, none of them have been featured on screen yet, which leaves the door open for Brody to be revealed as their estranged son.
Soap fans now think Kit is the detective who charged Brody and had him sent away to the STC, which could have put him in the bad books of a potentially dangerous family. If this is true, it could explain why Kit seems uneasy around Mick, and is bending the rules to keep on his good side.
One person took to social media, suggesting: "My guess is Kit put him there as he is meant to be connected to them. Calling it now – Brody is Lou and Mick's eldest son and it was Kit who probably put him away." Another agreed: "Ooh that’s true."
Others predicted Kit may be at the centre of a revenge plot, if both Brody and his parents are ready for payback. Corrie boss Kate Brooks previously teased: "We’ve got some great characters coming in. They are Mick and Lou. They are live wires, they are ruffians, they are going to cause a lot of damage and a lot of chaos. There is a link to Chesney initially, but they are coming to stir up a lot of trouble, and open up the floodgates and unpack the past of one of our big characters, which is Kit.
"They are shaking things up. They’re neighbours from hell. They’re overfamiliar, likeable and they’ve got kids. I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of them, especially Mick! They are coming to cause some chaos on the street, and they will leave a trail of devastation. Really chaotic but really enjoyable."
airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and X.
