Jake Paul's next fight was accidentally leaked by Netflix before the streaming service quickly deleted the post.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer returned to the ring back in June for his first fight since defeating Mike Tyson last November. Paul took on former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr - and cruised to a decision victory. The 28-year-old is now hoping to stay busy and it seems as if his next fight is set.
Following his win over Chavez Jr, the American called out several fighters in his post-fight interview, including cruiserweight world champions Gilberto Ramirez and Badou Jack as well as Tommy Fury, Anthony Joshua and Gervonta Davis. It looked likely that a showdown between Paul and Joshua would take place after boxing promoter Eddie Hearn revealed there is a "very real" chance of the dust-up happening early next year.
However, Joshua has been handed a major blow after the official Netflix Turkiye account revealed that Paul will be taking on 'Tank' Davis on November 15 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The social media post was live for merely minutes before it was quickly taken down. That said, many fans were quick to spot and screenshot the post.
Ring Magazine reporter Mike Coppinger later confirmed the news, claiming that a clash between Paul and Joshua collapsed over 'network issues.' In a post uploaded to X - formerly known as Twitter - he wrote: "Jake Paul will face Gervonta Davis on Nov. 15 at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena in an exhibition on Netflix, sources confirm to @ringmagazine. Talks for Paul to face Anthony Joshua collapsed over network issues. Paul’s last fight took place at 200 pounds while Davis is a champion at 135."
Davis was expected to rematch Lamont Roach this summer. The pair went head-to-head back in March and fought to a majority draw, but many believed as if Roach did enough to emerged victorious after he was wrongfully denied a knockdown in round nine. Promoter PBC were hoping to stage the sequel on August 16 in Las Vegas. It was then expected to to be pushed back by one to two weeks.

However, it seems as if both teams have moved on - with Roach himself refusing to wait any longer as he looks to get back into the ring soon. He told BoxingScene: "The rematch don't look like it's happening, just put it out there and be transparent with everyone — it's the only question I get asked 10 times a day, maybe more. As far as my future, we moving on, can't just sit around and drag our feet. There has been some recent news, his charges got dismissed in Florida."
Back in May, Paul revealed that he was on the brink of securing a bout with 'Tank' at 195lbs before negotiations fell through. The two teams were close to striking a deal and were deep into negotiations in March over a potential clash. Despite nearly reaching an agreement, Davis first had to get through Roach.
Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Paul remarked: "That was on the one yard as well, but he has to rematch Lamont Roach. "He wants to get that back. Then we will be back in discussions with Mr. Gervonta. But this is the nature of boxing, you have massive fights on the one-yard line and then they fall through." Even with the huge difference in weight between the pair, the 'Problem Child' claimed it would be sanctioned as an exhibition bout.
Paul, primarily a cruiserweight fighter (200lbs), offered to slim down to 195lbs for potential clash, while Davis is naturally a super lightweight (140lbs), and would have to bulk up as much as possible. The 28-year-old social media sensation added that the fight would be contested over 10 three-minute rounds with no restrictions on the rules.
"I never really thought Tank was that good, it just took the right fighter to pick him apart to be honest," Paul added. "Someone who had high activity and wasn't afraid of his power. So, I always saw so many holes in his game, to me it wasn't that surprising that someone finally gave him some good work."
