Wrexham's key players have been put on alert after club icon was dramatically dropped from the team. Despite being a firm favourite of the club's A-list owners, and , Mullin hasn't had any game time in since January.
The 30-year-old has bagged an impressive tally of 110 goals for the since he signed for them in July 2021, but hasn't even been named on the substitutes' bench for the last nine games. The team's successive promotions from the National League and League Two over the last two seasons can largely be credited to Mullin's prolific goal-scoring.
However, his future at the club looks uncertain as manager has sidelined him following the in the . Former Wrexham midfielder Waynne Phillips has branded the move as "ruthless", indicating that no player is beyond being dropped.

"He (Mullin) is right up there with the best I played with and the best I've watched in my 30 years with the club," Phillips told the . "But his season never really got going - and then, ultimately, players were brought in who have done better.
"You're not going to spend big money on strikers in January and not start them. You don't get a place - or even on the bench - because of what you've done in the past.
"Phil Parkinson is an experienced manager with the promotions to back it up; he's been ruthless with players in the past and he will do it again."
Mullin's rapport with Wrexham's co-owners saw him invited by Reynolds to last year. The Liverpudlian striker's 'Welshpool' outfit is currently in a display case at the Racecourse Ground.
But Mullin has netted only three goals this season following back surgery last summer, marking another disrupted pre-season for him. It came after he suffered a punctured lung incurred in a friendly against in July 2023.

Parkinson's side hold a three-point lead over Wycombe Wanderers as they gear up for their upcoming fixture against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
