Online shopping might be convenient, but after hearing this story, you’ll think twice before hitting that “Buy Now” button again. A 42-year-old woman from Cornwall, England, named Candice Collins, claims that after purchasing what’s believed to be Britain’s most haunted doll, her life turned into a real-life horror movie.
Candice, a paranormal investigator, bought the eerie doll named “Norman” on eBay for £200 (around ₹21,000). The doll, with its blonde hair and blue-striped shirt, may look innocent — but according to her, it hides a terrifying presence.
The Cursed Past of “Norman”According to Mirror UK, the doll’s previous owner, Christian Hawksworth, picked it up for just £3 at an antiques fair. But soon after bringing it home, a series of bizarre and life-threatening events began. First, his appendix burst. Then, he was shot. His car brakes failed next, followed by a major pay cut at work. Convinced that all his misfortunes were linked to the doll, he sold it online to get rid of it.
Horror Returns: Strange Events Begin AgainCandice, intrigued by the doll’s history, decided to buy it for her investigations. But the moment she opened the box, she claims, the room’s temperature dropped sharply, and an eerie stillness filled the air. “I instantly felt there was something supernatural about this doll,” she said.
Out of fear, Candice locked the doll inside a glass case and sprinkled holy water around it. Despite her precautions, she says she has since suffered from unexplained health issues, nightmares, and even witnessed the doll communicating with her young son.
