Objective of the Scheme
The goal of the PM Internship Scheme is to provide internship opportunities to 1 crore young individuals over the next five years in India’s top 500 companies. The initiative aims to offer hands-on experience, improve employability, and help build professional portfolios.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Age between 21 and 24 years
- Not enrolled in any full-time course or job
- Must hold qualifications such as Class 10th/12th pass, ITI, Diploma, or a degree in BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, etc.
- Family’s annual income should not exceed ₹8,00,000
Stipend Details
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000, which includes:
- ₹500 from the host company
- ₹4,500 transferred by the government directly to the intern's bank account
