Television actress Sumona Chakravarti, best known as Kapil Sharma’s on-screen wife in his comedy shows, recently faced a shocking incident during the ongoing Maratha reservation protests in Maharashtra. The actress revealed that her car was stopped and attacked in broad daylight while she was traveling from Colaba to Fort on Sunday.
Sumona had initially shared a detailed post on Instagram, narrating how a group of men misbehaved with her. However, by Monday morning, the actress had deleted the post. Despite her deletion, screenshots of her post are now widely circulating on social media.
What Happened With Sumona Chakravarti?In her post, Sumona wrote that she was in the car with a friend when suddenly a man blocked her vehicle. He allegedly banged the bonnet, pressed his stomach against her car, and laughed while some others around him shouted slogans of “Jai Maharashtra.”
The actress claimed that she felt extremely unsafe during the incident and raised concerns about law and order in Mumbai. She also expressed fear over how such incidents could occur in broad daylight in one of India’s busiest cities.

According to her, protestors were seen eating, drinking, cooking, bathing, urinating, defecating, and making reels on the road.
