A tile-maker is closing down its four companies as it goes into administration, with all its staff expected to lose their jobs. The company's 59 staff members are now all out of work.
Ceramique Internationale Ltd, based in Leeds, Bedford-based Rowmarl Ltd, and Spectrum Tiles Ltd, and Euxton Tile Supplies Ltd, both based in Euxton, Lancashire, have all gone bust. All four firms operated as separate legal entities under the Earle Group and Full Circle Group. Founded in 1974, the firm had been struggling for some time, despite numerous cash injections; however, all hope has now been lost.
For 51 years, the business sourced tiles from some of the best Italian and Spanish tile manufacturers for home, office and commercial buildings.
Christopher Ratten and Matthew Haw of RSM UK Restructuring Advisory were appointed as joint administrators on October 27, according to a statement from the kitchen firm, which was issued this week.
The administrators stated that, despite the directors' best efforts, the companies had encountered significant financial difficulties and were unable to fulfill their ongoing obligations.
As a result, operations ceased and staff were made redundant on October 24, 2025, prior to the appointment of the joint administrators. The Euxton site employed the highest number of staff, with 36 employees.
Following their appointment, the administrators have focused on realising the assets of the companies, which mainly consisted of tile stock and site fixtures, and fittings.
On October 31, these assets were sold to Euxton Tiles Ltd. and Ralee Group Ltd., two recently established companies.
The administrators are now working with employees to ensure their claims are processed. This comes hours after a top homeware chain also collapsed into administration, with 133 employees losing their jobs.
Fired Earth's 20 UK showrooms, in wealthy areas such as London's New Kings Road and Islington, have all been closed following the appointment of administrators at Leonard Curtis on Wednesday.
