Technology and gadgets are a must-have for people now, whether it's for entertainment and watching their favourite shows or for reading and studying. Tablets in particular are rising in popularity, and now Amazon has a deal on one of its choice products.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Android Tablet has been slashed in price to £126.90 from £209, and more than 100 have been bought in the past month, according to Amazon. Available in a range of colours, including silver, graphite and navy, it has an ideal compact (8.7" x 11") screen and can easily be carried.
This tablet in particular comes with 128GB of storage and offers up to 8GB RAM to ensure there is less lagging in comparison to older models, and hi-res files can be saved easily without concerns of deletion. For those using it for entertainment or music purposes, the tablet features Tab A9 speakers, which are said to provide 'remarkable clarity and depth'.
Customers can even divide the screen into two if they want to multitask, meaning they could be working on something while also having a video chat or call at the same time. Whatever it is needed for, this tablet has everyone covered.
For an alternative buy, Argos has the TCL Tab 10L Gen 2 for £99.99 available. This tablet has a 10.1-inch screen, 32GB of built-in storage and a multi-touch screen.
A second option is the Apple 11" iPad (2025) for a higher price of £329 from Currys. This iPad comes in the colours blue, pink, silver and yellow, has 128GB available, a battery life of up to 10 hours and a 'liquid retina display' that offers high resolution and bright colours when watching shows or movies.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has been rated a high 4.6 out of 5 stars from more than 1,000 reviews on Amazon. One person said: "What can I say, it's a great tablet at a bargain price and it does everything my husband needs it for. Charging takes no time at all and the set up was easy and the pictures are clear. It's easier to hold than his 10" one that he kept dropping. It is fast loading of the items he needs too."
A second said: "This is a great tablet. It was great value for money. The Wifi connectivity is great. I love it. It is far better than a dearer one I was persuaded to buy, but didn't like. It is just the right size, and is easy to hold and use."
A third buyer wrote: "Works brilliantly. The battery lasts a good few days. Nice and light and easy to use." Some others shared differing opinions, however, and rated the tablet four stars.
For example, this person said: "Perfect for my needs. Fits in my handbag and is useful when going to 1:1 meetings or as an aide during larger meetings. The only issue with this is that sometimes it does lag when too many things are open. It's a fantastic price for a Samsung." Another wrote: "Not the fastest tablet, good display though, but with the small screen it's hard to see some things."
