Ukraine has carried out an audacious mass drone attack and destroyed Russian nuclear-capable bombers deep inside Russia territory in a humiliating day for the Kremlin. It's reported the operation was carried out by Ukraine's security service (SBU), and hit four Russian airfields in what could be the most damaging strike by Kyiv since the war began.
Confirming the strike, an SBU source said: "Enemy strategic bombers are burning en masse in Russia - this is the result of a special operation by the SBU."
It's reported footage showing Russian planes being attacked is from the Belaya base in Siberia and there are also said to have been attacks on Olenya air base in the Arctic. With drones also targeting the Ivanovo air base, northeast of Moscow, and Dyagilevo base, south of the capital.
