NEW DELHI: After an extended rehabilitation at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE), pace sensation Mayank Yadav joined Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday night.
The youngster is now set to undergo some fitness checks before the side's next away game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Mayank's last competitive game was back in October 2024 when he featured in the T20I against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.

He has been out of action since then because of a back injury.
His comeback was further delayed by a toe injury during his time at the CoE.
While he has received an all clear from the BCCI medical team , the 22-year-old will be thoroughly assessed by LSG head physio Ashish Kaushik.
With a history of injury issues -- as many as five stress fractures in the last two years -- the LSG camp will operate with caution as far as Mayank is concerned.
Even in the 2024 edition of IPL, he played only four games and was ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a side strain.
LSG have had a lot of injury issues to deal with before the season got underway.
Akash Deep and Avesh Khan joined the side late. Mohsin Khan was ruled out of the season, and the Rishabh Pant-led unit had no option but to summon Shardul Thakur as a replacement.
Thakur is now leading the pace attack this season ,and Mayank's presence will certainly bolster the seam bowling department of the team, which is fifth on the points table with four wins from seven games.
