Matthew Tkachuk calls out Toronto Maple Leafs’ fans and gets heavily mocked for his words

Matthew Tkachuk spoke on the popular Spittin’ Chiclets and said, "If their team was not in Toronto dealing with all the crazy circus stuff outside of it, they’d be an unbelievable team. We don’t have to deal with that in Florida.”

Now, Matthew Tkachuk is getting heavily trolled by fans. A fan commented, “Literally like that in Boston/New York/LA/Chicago all have pressure in all major sports and have won throughout major sports lol you pretty much just admitted no one gives a f**k about the Florida Panthers which FYI bud no one does lol.”

Another fan wrote, “In other words: we don't have pressure like Toronto because we are the 4th known team in our market and nobody gives a sh*t about us until playoff time”, while a third fan commented, “Imagine working your whole life to finally reach the peak of your profession and bragging that no one gives a f**k about it.”

Another user wrote, “It’s like Toronto is the biggest hockey market in the game and hasn’t found success since 1967… these Florida dweebs and their no income tax, they don’t know it. This guy cried himself out of Calgary, it’s all a privileged life with no adversity for this guy”.

A fifth fan noted, ““Toronto is the only place where fans care” is such a lame narrative that doesn’t hold up to any scrutiny.”

Matthew Tkachuk has not yet reacted to the trolling he has received for his comments on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast.

However, the Florida Panthers’ Brad Marchand praised the Leafs and said, "This one was probably the one I was most nervous for. I said it before, and I wasn't just pumping their tires, they're a different team this year…”
