Will Scott Morrow be making his debut with the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals?

As Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes approaches, it has been predicted that Scott Morrow could be making his debut with the Hurricanes. The match is all set to take place at the Lenovo Centre tonight at 8 pm ET.

The prediction that Scott Morrow might make his debut in the match against the Florida Panthers comes after he was paired with Shayne Gostisbehere at the morning skate. Morrow has not played with the Hurricanes ever since a regular-season finale, a match that the team lost to the Ottawa Senators. He followed this up by playing for the American Hockey League for two games.

NHL spoke to Scott regarding the potential debut with the Carolina Hurricanes. Commenting on the same, he shared, “If I’m in there, I’m going to play my (b*tt) off and try and do whatever it takes to help the team win." He also added, “I’ve played enough games now where I think I’m ready for this moment if it comes." He continued, “I think it’s an advantage for me because I’m fresh, I’m healthy, I’m well-rested. I’ve had a little bit of a break since I was playing in the NHL playoffs. Just coming in fresh, I’m going to try and bring a lot of energy if I do get in the lineup.”

If not Morrow, there is also a possibility that Jalen Chatfield could be a part of the game. While he suffered an undisclosed injury, he was also a part of the morning skate.

Commenting on which one of the two athletes could be playing tonight, the coach Rod Brind'Amour shared, “More than likely, I would still call (Morrow) probable; we’re still debating it. It’s a good sign that (Chatfield) was out there. Whether he is ready-ready to go, that will be determined shortly." He continued to add, “Chatfield definitely wants to play, so we will see where it goes.”
