NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court collegium has recommended three judicial appointments to the Union government, proposing elevations to the position of Chief Justice in different high courts.
Justice PB Bajanthri of the Karnataka High Court , who is currently serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Patna high court, has been recommended for appointment as its Chief Justice.
Justice Soumen Sen of the Calcutta High Court has been recommended as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court, while Justice M. Sunder of the Madras High Court has been proposed as the Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court.
The recommendations, once approved by the Centre, will formalize leadership changes in the three high courts.
