Samsung Teases Bold Galaxy Watch Redesign, Affordable Foldables, and Galaxy Tab S11 for 2025

Galaxy Watch Set for “Innovative” Redesign

Samsung has hinted at a major update to its Galaxy Watch lineup during its Q1 2025 earnings call, suggesting a fresh design direction and new health-tracking capabilities. The company says it will unveil “a new Galaxy Watch with an innovative design”, though specifics remain under wraps. This could mean a shift in physical design or a software overhaul—possibly aligning with One UI Watch 6 and expanded Galaxy AI features.

The new watch will also come with enhanced health-related features, reinforcing Samsung’s emphasis on wellness and its competition with Apple in the wearables market.

Foldables to Get More Durable and Affordable

Samsung confirmed its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will see notable upgrades in performance, design, and durability. In a bid to widen its appeal, the company aims to introduce foldables to a more affordable customer base, fueling speculation about the long-rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE (or Flip Xe).

The tech giant is also reportedly working on a tri-fold foldable, though its launch may be limited to a concept reveal in late 2025.

“We plan to strengthen our product lineup… and expand our affordable customer base,” said a Samsung executive.

Galaxy Tab S11 Series Launching Later This Year

In tablets, Samsung officially confirmed the Galaxy Tab S11 series will debut in the second half of 2025. This aligns with the company’s traditional timeline, following past July Galaxy Unpacked events where the Galaxy Tab S10 was revealed.

The Tab S11 series will focus on AI-powered enhancements, as part of Samsung’s broader effort to integrate Galaxy AI across devices. Samsung also plans to boost targeted marketing around the Tab series to attract new segments.

Budget Galaxy Buds and XR Headset Also Teased

Samsung also revealed it plans to release a new entry-level model of its Galaxy Buds lineup, likely a successor to the Galaxy Buds FE, aimed at the growing affordable audio accessories market.

The company briefly referenced its Android XR headset, though no timeline was confirmed. This aligns with earlier rumors of Samsung’s partnership with Google and Qualcomm on a mixed reality headset project expected in 2025 or early 2026.

Looking Ahead

With Galaxy S25 sales already proving “strong,” Samsung is looking to leverage its AI advancements and expand across wearables, foldables, and tablets to maintain momentum. Its July Unpacked event is expected to showcase the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, new Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Buds, and possibly a tri-fold prototype.
